1 and 1/2 dozen boiled eggs
1 # bacon - fry crisp and crumble

For white sauce
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
2 cups milk

Sourdough buttered bread crumbs

shredded cheddar cheese - add this to the top at the end of the bake if desired.

Add the herbs over the top of the bread crumbs.
1/4 tea each basil, marjoram and thyme
1/2 tea parsley

Directions:

Grease a shallow casserole dish
pour small amount of sauce on the bottom
slice eggs thin and line the bottom with sliced eggs. Add a layer of bacon.
Top with sourdough buttered bread crumbs.

Drizzle the rest of the sauce over the top.
Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or until browned and bubbly.

This recipe came from Dixie Davis. She made this at Christmas morning or Thanksgiving morning. It was my favorite breakfast!! So yummy! Ive never been able to duplicate her bake of course. She was the best cook!
