1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 1/4 cup water
2 cups raisins
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Boil all together, let cool. First boil raisins in the water when cool add 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. soda, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 2 cups flour. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until done when toothpick comes out clean.
