1 pound hamburger
4 large bell peppers sliced
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 can of crushed tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
2 small cans of water
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: hot pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Brown hamburger, onions slightly in enough oil so as not to burn. Add bell peppers. tomatoes, tomato paste and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer with cover on for at least an hour or until the bell peppers are tender. Add hot pepper, if desired, and simmer a few minutes more with cover off. Serve on hamburger buns.
