2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 can strawberry soda
1 (3 oz.) box strawberry gelatin
1 (3 oz.) box vanilla pudding
1 container whipped topping

Preheat oven to 350º.
Combine first 9 ingredients in large bowl until well-mixed. Bake in greased and floured 9"x13" cake pan, 40-45 min. Remove cake from oven, poke holes throughout the cake with the handle end of a wooden spoon. Mix package of gelatin and soda and pour over hot cake.

Refrigerate.

Prepare pudding, using only 1 cup of milk. Mix with whipped topping, spoon over cooled cake.
Keep refrigerated and covered.
