1 Chicken
2/3 Can Beer or Soda, your choice beer but Root
Beer or Coke work best for the Soda
Salt/pepper to taste
OR
DRY RUB
1 1/2 T Salt
1/2 t Celery salt
2 T Brown sugar
2 T Pepper
1/2 t Garlic powder
1 t Chili powder
1/2 t Oninon powder
1/2 t Paprika
1/2 t Basil
1/4 t Thyme
1/2 t Mustard, dry
Combine all ingredients in glass jar and shake to mix well.

Wash and dry chicken. Spread rub inside adn outside of chicken. Wrap chicken in plastic refrigerate for 1 hour.
This will be cooked by indirect heat so either put coals on one side or only light one side of the grill. Cook on medium to medium high heat.
When ready place a drip pan under where the chicken will be cooking.
Take one can of beer or soda, drink 1/4 of the can, this is IMPORTANT!!
Place can on counter and lower chicken over it. Chicken will be in sitting position using the can and chicken feet as a tripod.
Place in center of grill, lower lid and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour. You may need to use a cookie sheet to steady the contraption.
