2 c. sugar
1 stick oleo
2/3 c. buttermilk
3 tbsp. white syrup
1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, buttermilk, oleo and white syrup on medium high heat until soft ball stage or 235º. Stir constantly.
Remove from heat and add: soda, vanilla, and nuts
Beat until stiff. Spread in a buttered dish.
