Cream butter and sugar well; add eggs, one at a time. Add sifted dry ingredients with the first cup of flour. Add milk enough and enough of the remaining flour to proper consistency for rolling dough on floured board. Place on a floured board and knead in just enough flour to handle easily. Roll into 3 smaller balls. Cut into desired shapes, place on a cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees until lightly tanned. Store in tight containers.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Minena "Big Mama" had a special way with teacakes. She always kept a stash hidden away for her special people. If you werent special, you sure felt like it. I watched her make them but no one knows exactly what she put in them.
