6 (14.5 oz.) cans chicken broth
4 stalks celery, chopped
6 carrots, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 med. head cabbage, shredded
5 or 6 sm. diced potatoes
2 c. diced ham
1 T. dried parsley
pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Place chicken broth, celery, carrots, onion, garlic, cabbage, potatoes, ham and parsley in large pot over high heat. Bring to boil, reduce heat to low and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Alternative: Use a couple of ham hocks boiled in water until meat is tender. Remove ham hocs. Skim off any fat that rises to surface. May add 3 cans chicken broth or tomato sauce for added flavor. Add vegetables and seasoning and cook until almost tender. Add shredded meat from the hocks back into pot.
