1/2 C. butter
2 C. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs
3 T. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 C. buttermilk
1/2 C. coarsely chopped pecans
1 - 9 inch unbaked deep dish pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs with mixer until fluffy. Add flour, salt and buttermilk. Place pecans in pie shell and pour buttermilk mixture over nuts. Bake 1 hour 20 min to 1 hour 30 minutes until custard sets. Knife inserted in middle comes out clean. Top will be brown. Cool pie before cutting
