1 cup wild rice
1/2 cup butter- melted
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
1 1/2 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 cup milk
3 cups diced cooked chicken
1/2 cup diced pimiento
2 tsp. parsley flakes
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/3 - 1/2 cup silvered almonds - optional

Directions:
Directions:
Cook wild rice according to package directions; set aside. Saute' the onions and fresh mushrooms in the 1/2 cup melted butter until tender; stir in flour. Cook over low heat for 1 minute stirring constantly. Add broth and milk and cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thickened. Stir in rice, chicken, pimiento, parsley and seasonings. Pour into a 2 qt. greased casserole. Top with almonds and bake.
