9 eggs, separated
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp orange extract
1 tsp lemon extract

Orange Cream Frosting:
juice and rind of 1 orange
2 tbsp flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 egg yolks (or one whole egg)
1 cup whipping cream

Directions:
Directions:
Separate eggs. Beat egg whites stiff or until they stand in points. Add salt and cream of tartar. Add sugar gradually. Beat yolks with orange and lemon extracts until thick and lemon-colored. Add yolks to egg white mixture. Add flour which has been sifted once before being measured. Mix only 1/4 as long as by hand. Place in floured tube pan. Place in cold oven then back at 330F for 1 hour. Frost with orange cream frosting.

Orange Cream Frosting:
Mix all ingredients together except whipping cream. Cook over pan of boiling water until thick. Let cool. Whip cream until stiff then fold into orange mixture.
