2 cups Bisquick
Apples

SAUCE:
2 cups white sugar
2 cups water
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla or lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare Bisquick for biscuit dough and roll out to 1/2" thickness. Cut into 3" squares. Cut apples into halves and place an apple half onto each square. Pinch dough to cover apple. Place into ungreased pan. Put the pinched side down.

Combine sauce ingredients and boil until sugar is completely dissolved.

Pour sauce over dumplings and bake at 350º for 20 minutes, covered with foil. Remove foil and bake 15-20 minutes more until browned.
