2 cups boiling water
6 zucchini*
6 yellow squash*
1 onion,
butter
freshly ground black pepper
salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Slice squash and onion. Place in a steamer basket, and set over the boiling water. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 15 minutes, or until vegetables are tender. Discard water. Serve with butter, pepper, and salt.
* choose fresh, small squash, they are more tender
AUNT LOIS said you could also add tomatoes and green chilies
