1 c. butter, softened
2 c. flour, sifted
1/3 c. whipping cream
Filling:
1/4 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. confectioners sugar, sifted
1 egg yolk, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Wafers:
Blend 1st three ingredients together. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Roll dough to 1/8 inch thick on a lightly floured board. Cut into 1 1/2 inch. rounds. Coat both sides with granulated sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheet; prick with fork in 3 or 4 places. Bake 7-9 minutes. in a preheated 350ºF oven.
Filling:
Blend ingredients until fluffy. Spread filling on cookie andform a sandwich cookie.
