1 cup whole milk

1 Tbsp. butter

1/2 tsp. salt

2 cups flour, seperated

1 egg

fresh or frozen fruit

Powdered sugar

Quark (or ricotta or cream or cottage cheese)

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan, bring milk, butter, and salt to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Whisk egg into milk. Gradually add 1 cup flour. Mix well.
On cutting board, use 1 cup flour to coat board. Turn out dough and knead until it forms a large ball. Roll out dough. Flour hands. Tear off a piece of dough and wrap around fruit. Place in large pot of boiling water. Boil until it rises to the surface (10-20 min.). Drain.
Roll each dumpling in melted butter and then powdered sugar or cinnamon. Serve hot.
