1/4 lb. of Butter
1 Cup of Dark Brown Sugar firmly packed
1 Tsp. of Lemon Extract
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup of Molasses
2 Cups of Flour
1/2 Tsp of Baking Soda
1 Tsp of Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp of Allspice
1/2 Tsp of Mace
1/4 Tsp of Cloves
1/2 Tsp of Salt
1/2 Cup of Milk
2 Cups of Candied Fruit
1/2 Candied Citron (optional)
1 Cup of Raisins
1 Cup of Chopped Pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Butter 2 9x5 loaf pans. Line with Foil, then butter foil. Cream butter, add brown sugar and beat until light. Add the lemon extract and eggs and beat well. Stir in the molasses and blend. Mix together flour, baking soda, spices and salt. Then add milk and beat until smooth. Stir in the fruit, raisins and nuts and mix well. Spoon batter into pans.

Bake at 325 º
Bake for 1 to 1 1/4 hours until toothpick comes out clean. Turn onto racks to cool then wrap and store in airtight containers
