1 c. butter / margarine [melted]
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. whole wheat flour [can use white flour]
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. rolled oats
1 c. raisins [chopped if desired - I do, so they don't notice too much]
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. bran [could double nuts to replace bran]
1/3 c. wheat germ
2 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugars, butter, eggs, and vanilla together until light and fluffy.
Stir in flour, soda, and salt. Blend well.
Stir in oats, nuts, bran, wheat germ and raisins.
Blend well, and then add chocolate chips.

Drop by teaspoonful onto lightly greased baking sheet. Gently shape in a round mound - approx. 12 cookies a sheet.

Bake at 375ºF for 7 - 9 minutes - until "lightly" browned. [Do not over cook]. Remove from pan and cool

Yields about 5 dozen.
