2 cups sugar
1/2 cup hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
2 stiffly beaten egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, corn syrup, water and salt in a small saucepan. Cook until hard-ball stage (248º). Slowly pour syrup in a thin stream over beaten egg whites, beating constantly. Beat till mixture hold shape. (i use electric mixer.). Stir in vanilla. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls on wax paper, lifting and twirling spoon to form a peak.
