1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
3/4 cup milk
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
3/4 cup fine bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly grease 5 by 9 inch loaf pan. Press the sugar into the bottom of prepared loaf pan. Spread the ketchup over the sugar. In a mixing bowl, thoroughly mix all the remaining ingredients. Shape into loaf and place on top of the ketchup. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until the juices are clear.

Makes 8 servings - if cooking for two cut ingredient measurements in half. This is really yummy- enjoy!
