2 pkgs. Instant Yeast
2 cups warm water
5 tsp. Sugar
1 ¾ cups milk, scaled and cooled
2 tsp. Salt
4 eggs, beaten
1 lb. Raisins
2 tsp. Baking powder
6 cups flour, divided
2 tbsp. Cooking oil

Directions:
Directions:
Beat by hand warm water, scalded milk and eggs in a bowl. Add sugar salt and cooking oil. In a large bowl stir yeast, baking powder and 4 cups of flour together. Stir in wet ingredients. Mix in remaining flour and raisins. Let rise until doubled and fry in deep, hot fat.
