16 cups dry bread crumbs
1 lb. bacon (cut into small pieces)
6 stalks celery (chopped)
2 large onions (chopped)
1 bundle fresh parsley
1 T. each, sage, thyme, marjoram, dried parsley
6 eggs (mix with wire whip)
1 quart milk
4 cups turkey or chicken broth, (use just enough to moisten)
2 lbs. mushrooms

In a fry pan cook bacon. Add celery, mushrooms & onions- Saute until tender.
Mix milk, beaten eggs, and spices together. Add all ingredients to bread crumbs. Moisten with broth.
Bake at 350º for 35 to 40 min.

(Mom would simmer the turkey giblets, neck and heart in a pan of water with salt pepper with a couple of bay leaves. She would use the water for the broth)

Mom's Thanksgiving dinner was a tradition the family always looked forward to. I am sure this recipe was handed down from Grandma Jensen. This recipe makes a large amount!
