3 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
½ tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup shortening
1 cup raisins, rinsed
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vinegar
Sugar to sprinkle on top

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º F.

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in the shortening and crumble. Stir in raisins.

Mix milk and vinegar in a small bowl and add to shortening mixture. Mix well and pat into two 8 – 9 inch circles on a floured surface.

Cut into 20 – 24 wedges. Arrange on two ungreased baking sheets. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375º F for 10 min.
