6-8 pieces of chicken
1-2 c.flour
2 tsp.salt
1 tsp.garlic powder
1/2 tsp.pepper

1 c. crisco
1/2 stick butter or margarine

Directions:
Rinse chicken in cold water or better yet soak it in salt water to draw the blood out of it :) Or soak it in butter milk that's really good!
AIr dry or pat with paper towels
Add all dry ingredients in paper or plastic bag
Put your chicken the bag ,like three pieces at a time shake a few times(that's what make's it).
get your crisco and butter to 325º
Add chicken,Brown uncovered for about 10 minutes each side,Cover and lower temperate to 300 for about fifteen each side
remove cover turn heat up 25º cook each side five to seven minute's until crisp!º

You may not get it perfect the first time, just keep on trying!!! A cast iron skillet is great but I like my electric frying pan just as well, I feel like I can control the temperature better.
