3/4 C. Crisco
3 Eggs
4 t. Baking Powder
1 1/4 C. milk
1 3/4 C. sugar
3 C. flour
1 t. salt
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend Crisco, sugar and eggs. Sift dry ingredients twice and add alternately with milk to Crisco mixture. Add vanilla.
USE 3 LAYER PANS
For light layer use 1/3 batter.
For Spice layer, use 1 T Strawberry Jam. 1/4 t. cinnamon, 1/8 t.cloves.1/8 t.allspice.
For CHOCOLATE layer-use 1 square melted chocolate mixed with 1 T. Sugar, 1/4 Soda & lT. Hot Water. Mix well with remaining batter. Bake
at 375 for about 20 minutes. Cool. Whip until stiff 1 pt. cream. Sweeten lightly. Fold in 1 lb. walnuts
chopped lightly.Frost thickly between layers and cover cake completely Refrigerate 12- 24 hours.
