2 ½ c flour
1 egg yolk
4-5 c apples, sliced
1 tsp salt
½ c milk
1 c sugar
1 c butter
1 c crushed corn flakes
1 tsp cinnamon

Frosting:
1 c powdered sugar
2 T milk
½ tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt, and shortening until crumbly. Add egg and milk to flour mixture. Divide dough into two parts. Roll out ½ and put on jelly roll pan. Cover with corn flakes. Combine apples, cinnamon, and sugar. Put over bottom crust. Cover with other ½ rolled crust. Brush with whipped egg white. Bake 1 hr at 350. Mix frosting and cover bars while still slightly warm.
