"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

My best results have been to make and cook the pastry
Let it cool completely and either refrigerate or freeze BEFORE glazing.
It allows the cheese filling to set up.
This is a crowd pleaser recipe as it makes a large amount, tastes as closely as you can get to the wonderful Jewish theme darrish and it can be frozen and not lose it's texture or flavor.
Remember to add the glaze after freezing

Great for Christmas giving or for freezing for future guests
This pastry tastes better after it has time to set or chill.
