2 sticks real salted butter
12 ounce Semi-Sweet chocolate chips
Saltine crackers

Directions:
Directions:
Line a large jelly roll pan (one with sides) with foil. Spray with Pam. Cover entire pan with whole saltine crackers. Melt Butter over low heat then turn up heat and add brown sugar. Bring to boil and boil together for 3 minutes (start timing when it starts boiling). Pour over crackers. Bake for 7 minutes at 400 degrees. While hot, pour chocolate chips on top. Let melt for a couple of minutes then smooth over with the back of a spoon. Let cool, then freeze for several hours. Break into pieces. Keeps for a week in a sealed container. Can also use Graham crackers but you lose the salty/sweet combo.

Personal Notes:
Lillian made this for my children when they were little!

I put mine straight into a refrigerator for 30 minutes while I bake other things, then put in freezer for as long as I can before breaking it apart. ten minutes seems to be long enough to set well.
I like more toffee so I usually make 1.5 times the brown sugar/butter mixture. If you just double it, it is 4 sticks butter and 3 cups brown sugar, or for just 1.5 times you can do 3 sticks butter to 2 cups brown sugar.
I use a bag and a half of the chips. Milk chocolate chips don't do well, they have too much cream in them to set up properly
