2 lbs. light brown sugar
1 pint whipping cream
1/2c. butter
2T. white corn syrup
1t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, cream, butter and syrup in a large saucepan and cook, stirring constantly. When mixture comes to a boil, continue cooking and stirring about 6-8 minutes or until it reaches 230 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat and place pan in cold water. Add the vanilla and beat until light and smooth. Set mixture aside and let cool, stirring occasionally, until it will hold its shape. It might take 1-2 hours before you can start mixing for it to set up.
