1 C. flour
½ C. soft butter
2 T. ice cold water

Mix like pie crust. Divide in half and press each half into a 3” X 12” oblong on ungreased cookie sheet. If fingers stick, dip in flour.

½ t. almond flavoring
1 C. flour

Bring water to boil; add butter and extract then flour, stirring into a ball (like cream puff pastry). Cool slightly, then beat in 4 eggs, one at a time, with wooden spoon.

Spoon over oblongs (do not press down). Bake in 350 degree oven about 40 to 45 minutes. Remove roll dough from oven and let cool 5 to 7 minutes – but while still warm – spread on top:

3 T. butter
2 ½ T. cream
2 t. vanilla extract
½ t. almond extract
Beat very well (should be stiff) and spread over warm baked dough. Toast almonds and spread on top. NEVER COVER!
