1 pkg 2-layer yellow cake mix
1/2 c butter

1/3 c butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º. Line a 13x9x2 inch baking pan with foil, extending foil over edges of the pan. Grease foil and set aside.
2. Place cake mix in a large bowl. Using a pastry blender, cut in the 1/2 c butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press evenly into bottom of the prepared baking pan. Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned and set.
3. Meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk together eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, the 1/3 c melted butter, vanilla, and cinnamon. Stir in mixed nuts. Pour nut mixture over hot crust. Bake about 30 minutes more or until golden brown and bubbly around edges.
4. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Using edges of foil, lift cookies out of pan. Cut into bars. Makes 32 bars.
