2 lb. ground beef
2 qt. water
1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes (undrained)
1 29 oz. can tomato sauce
2 c. cooked long grain rice (1/2 c. uncooked...or use white rice)
2 c. chopped green bell peppers (about 2 large peppers)
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 T. packed brown sugar (I did not add)
2 tsp. salt (I did not add)
1 tsp. pepper

1. In 6 quart saucepan or Dutch oven, brown beef and drain.
2. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil
3. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 to 40 minutes or until tender.
