2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup water
2 Tbsp corn syrup
8oz semi sweet chocolate chips
coarsely ground and toasted almonds for sprinkling

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in heavy skillet over low heat. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Add water and corn syrup and continue cooking to 290 degrees (brittle stage). It should be a light caramel color. Remove from heat and pour into a wax paper lined cookie sheet. Wait about 30 seconds and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Spread chocolate with a spatula and then sprinkle with toasted almonds. Place in refrigerator to cool completely. Remove from refrigerator and break into pieces.
