1 1/8 c. flour
3/4 c. cornmeal
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
1 egg, slightly beaten
7/8 c. milk
1 lb. hot dogs

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt. Cut in shortening until fine crumbs. Combine egg and milk, add to dry ingredients. Place hot dogs on sticks and coat with batter. Deep fry at 360° until well brown.
