1 lb. ground lean beef
1 lb. ground pork
2 T. oil
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped green onions
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
2 T. roux
1 can chicken broth
3 c. cooked rice
salt, pepper, garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef & pork in oil in a large heavy skillet or pot. I do it all in a big Magnalite pot. Add vegetables that season to the meat mixture. Cook for about 20 minutes. Add roux and chicken broth. Season with salt, pepper & garlic powder to taste. Simmer 1 hour. Stir in cooked rice and serve hot. You may also stuff poultry with this dressing. A variation is to add 1 lb. of ground giblets to the meat mixture.
