Ingredients:  
1-1/4 C flour
1/4 t salt
1/4 C shortening-chilled
1/4 C butter—cold and cubed
1 t white vinegar
3 T water—ice cold

(Ingredients are kept cold so butter does not melt.)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine flour & salt.

2. Cut in the shortening & butter with a pastry blender until you get course crumbs.

3. Stir together vinegar & water. Stir into flour until it pulls away from side of the bowl & forms a ball.

4. Refrigerate minimum 4 hours or overnight. Warm to room temperature before rolling or crust will crack.

This can also be made in a food processor.
