16 slices firm white bread
1 pkg. 8 oz. Neufchatel cheese
1 pt blueberries, divided
3 C. milk
3 eggs
1/2 c. maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
11/2 c. sugar divided
1/4 tsp cornstarch
1 T. butter or margarine

Directions:
Butter 3 qt. baking dish. Cut 10 slices of bread in cubes. Spread soften cheese over one side of each remaining slice;arrange, cheese side up in baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 c. blueberries. Top with bread cubes. Combine next 4 ingredients and 1/4 c. sugar. Sprinkle over bread mixture. Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake until top is gold and inserted knife comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Meanwhile , in pot mix cornstarch, 1 c. water and remaining sugar. Over medium heat bring to a simmer, cook until thickened-about 3 min. Remove from heat-stir in butter and remaining blueberries.. Serve with French toast.
