1/2 c granulated sugar
1/4 c all-purpose flour
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 c milk
2 tbsp butter or margarine (softened)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 c packaged biscuit mix (I like Bisquick)
1/3 c milk
cooking oil

Chocolate filling:
In a medium sized saucepan combine sugar, flour, cocoa. Stir in 1/2 c milk and butter, stir and cook until bubbling, cook for 1 minute more. Stir in vanilla. Cool.

Pastry:
Combine the biscuit mix and 1/3 c milk. On a floured surface roll out dough into 1/8" thickness, cut into 10 - four inch circles. Place the chocolate filling in the center of the circle, fold over and press edges together with a fork. In a skillet heat 1" of oil to 375º. Fry pastries 2 minutes on each side until golden. Cool and enjoy.
