Slices of leftover ham
5 lb potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
1 1/2 yellow onions, sliced thin
1 stick of butter
1 or 2 C flour
whole milk
salt
pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Spray the bottom and sides of a large ovenproof baking dish. Dot the bottom of the dish with butter. Make a layer of the sliced potatoes and onion, Lay some slices of ham on top, sprinkle with salt, pepper, sprinkle about 1/4 C flour over the potatoes then dot with butter. Repeat these layers until your dish is almost full. Dot the top with butter. Slowly pour the milk over the potatoes until just covered. Line a large baking sheet with foil, place the casserole on the baking sheet and bake for 1 1/2 hours until the potatoes are tender. Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes.
