1 1/2 c chopped. Pecans toasted in a 350Degree oven
1/2 c butter
2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
2 c flour
2 t cinnamon
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
21/2# granny Smith apples (4 large peeled and chopped coarsely )

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla till blended. Combine dry ingredients and add to butter mixture. Stir till combined. Sir in apples and 1 cup pecans. Spread in lightly greased 13 x 9 pan. Bake at 350º for 45 minute's or till tests done. Cool. Frost with Browned Butter Frosting and sprinkle with remaining half cup of pecans.
Note: batter is very thick and needs spread into pan.
