Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1-2 fresh pears (I usually use Bartlett pears, but any will work)
Baby field greens or lettuce of choice
few handfuls of glazed (candied) pecans (~1/2 cup)
few handfuls of blue cheese (or gorgonzola) (~1/2 cup)
chopped red onion (depending upon your taste) (< 1/4 cup)

Dressing
1/4 cup olive oil (extra virgin tastes best)
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 Tbsp maple syrup
2 Tbsp dijon mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and slice the pears into long thin pieces. Sauté in 1 tablespoon butter or margarine until soft. Remove from heat and set aside.

Toss field greens, red onion, pecans, blue cheese together. Lay warm pears on top. Shake dressing well to mix and add to salad. A little dressing in this goes a long way, too much and it gets soggy very quick.
