- 1 pound Italian sausage, hot
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 7 cups cabbage, chopped
- 4 28 oz can tomatoes, stewed, diced 2qts 1reg 1 stewed
- 2 tsp basil, dried
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp oregano, dried
- 3/4 tsp rosemary, fresh or 1/4 tsp dried
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 bay leaf

Directions:
Directions:
In a dutch oven, or soup kettle, cook sausage, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Or cook sausage first and drain as much fat off as possible, then add onions and garlic. Add cabbage; cook and stir for 3-5 min. or until cabbage is crisp tender.

Stir in the remaing ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce deat; cover and simmer for 30-35 min. or until cabbage is tender. Discard bay leaf.
