- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 3 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 7 ounce pkg. carmels
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup pecans, divided, chopped
- 2 3 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 3.9 ounce pkg chocolate instant pudding mix
- 1/2 cup fudge topping or 1/4 cup carmel topping

Make the crust from the crumbs and butter. Press int 9 inch pie plate, bake 350 F 6-8 min.
Place caramels and evaporated milk in a heavy saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring continually until smooth,about 5 min. Stir in 1/2 cup pecans. Pour into piecrust.
Combine cream cheese, sour cream and milk in a blender. Process until smooth.Add pudding mix, process for about 30 Seconds.
Pour pudding mixture over caramel layer, covering evenly. Chill, loosely covered, until set, about 15 minutes.
Drizzel fudge topping (or carmel topping) over pudding layer in a decorative pattern. Sprinkle top of cake with remaining pecans. Chill, loosely covered, until serving time.

NOTES:

This cheese cake may be made 1 day ahead, to the point of decorating with the fudge and nuts. Do that before serving.
