1 c. sugar
1 stick softened butter
1 T. of flavoring: anise, almond or vanilla, your choice
4 t. baking powder
4 c. flour
Powdered sugar
Multi-colored non-pareils

Directions:
Directions:
Mix eggs, sugar, flavoring and stick of butter together. Mix well and slowly add flour until all is mixed.
Shape into small "S" and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º until light brown.

Frosting:
Mix 1/2 c. powdered sugar with small amount of water to make a spreadable frosting. Brush each cookie with frosting and sprinkle with multi-colored non-pareils. Once they are dry, store in a plastic bag; will last a long time.
