1 (18 1/2 ounce) package butter favored cake mix
2 cups sugar
1 (16 ounce) carton commercial sour cream
2 (6 ounce) pkg. frozen coconut, thawed
1 1/2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare cake mix according to package directions, making two 8-inch layers. After baking, when completely cool, slit both layers to make 4 layers.

Combine sugar, sour cream, and coconut, blending well; chill. Reserve one cup sour cream mixture for frosting. Spread remaining mixture between layers.

Combine reserved sour cream mixture with whipped topping; blend until smooth. Spread on top and sides of cake. Seal cake in an airtight container and refrigerate for 3 days before serving.
