Ingredients:
Ingredients:
8 potatoes or so
milk - around 2 c.
leftover baked ham or pre-cooked ham slice
1 yellow onion
1/2 stick of butter
1/3 c. or so of flour
ground pepper (there's enough salt in ham)

Sorry about the guesstimates!

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and rinse potatoes, then cut into slices about 1/8" thick. I usually cut the potatoes lengthwise first before slicing so the pieces aren't too big. Cut up the ham into bite sized pieces, so you have maybe 2 cups. Cut butter into pads. Slice the whole onion, then cut crosswise to dice it.
Use a fairly DEEP casserole dish so you can stir without making a mess, leaving room for bubbling over. Nothing worse than stinky burned milk on the bottom of your oven!
You can layer the ingredients or make sure they all mix up at the end, depending on how full your casserole dish is., so alternate with potatoes, flour, ham, onion and make sure there's butter and some black pepper in the middle and on the top. Pour milk over the whole casserole deep enough to see it, probably 2/3-3/4 the depth of the dish.
Hopefully you have a couple of inches space left at the top of you dish! Bake, covered, at 350-375º for about an hour and a half, stirring once or twice half and 3/4 the way through the baking time.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I spray my casserole dish and inside of lid with Pam, so it cleans up easier.
