Ingredients:  
1 cup all purpose flour
9 graham wafers (finely rolled 3/4 cup crumbs)
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup shortening, Crisco
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2 - 3 bananas)
1/3 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, graham wafer crumbs, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Beat shortening until creamy. Gradually beat in sugar until light and fluffy; add eggs and beat well. Stir in dry ingredients alternating with bananas; fold in walnuts. Turn into well greased loaf pan.

Bake in moderate oven 350ºF for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done.
