2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Combine the four, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Mix butter, sugar, eggs, till fluffy; add molasses and dry ingredients. Shape into 1 - 1 1/2 inch balls; roll in tablespoons of sugar; place on a ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for approximately ten minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Let stand before removing to cookie sheet.
