1 c. soft butter
3 eggs
3/4 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
14 oz. shredded coconut

2 c. & 5 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

1 10 oz. jar maraschino cherries, drained
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the first 6 ingredients.

Sift together flour,salt & baking soda and then add to first mixture.
Mix well, then add cherries and nuts.

Chill dough 1 hour.
Drop by teaspoonfuls (size of walnuts) on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 350º for 10 - 12 minutes.

Cool on rack and place carefully in air tight container.
