1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1 c. sifted flour

Pecan Filling:
1 egg
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1tsp. vanilla
Dash salt
2/3 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and cream cheese; stir n flour. Chill about 1 hour. Then shape into 36 balls per batch. The balls should be about 3/4 in. in diameter. Place in ungreased 1 inch muffin cups and press against bottom and sides with a flat bottomed shot glass dipped in flour. Fill with pecan filling. When working with more than a single recipe, be sure to put unused dough back into refrigerator until needed.

Filling:
Beat eggs, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt until smooth. Add nuts. Fill muffin cups with mixture. Bake at 325º for 25 min. or until set. Cool and remove from pans. In order to make a triple recipe efficiently you should have at least 3 pans with 12 1 inch cups.
