2 c fresh cherries
1 1/2 c sugar (divided)
2 c cream
2 c whole milk
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 large dark chocolate bar, shaved

Directions:
Directions:
One day ahead: Pit cherries, pour 1 cup sugar over and soak 24 hours or overnight.
Puree 1 cup of cherries with the cherry syrup in food processor or blender. Pour milk and cream into can. Add cherry puree, 1/2 c sugar, salt, vanilla and almond extract. Process ice cream according to manufacturer directions. Stir in reserved cherries and shaved chocolate.
